Sitting around the house, waiting for us to either get sick or for this thing to blow over is really trying. I know I shouldn’t complain, and I understand why we’re having to do this. That doesn’t make it any easier.
I’d like to think the people in charge of this effort have at least a modicum of ability to see it through. But deep down, I have a terrible feeling that they don’t even have the faintest idea of how to manage a disaster of this proportion. Adding to the dilemma is our President, who is frankly making things worse because he can’t seem to focus on the things that are truly important: health first and then economy. Besides, he and the truth are complete strangers, which certainly doesn’t help.
Tomorrow I need to get outside and get some fresh air. Otherwise, my brain is going to melt, and you know the old Dan Quayle saying. See illustration to the right.
I feel bad for the people in Italy and now Spain (didn’t I tell you?). The number of cases and deaths keeps rising. So much for the Mediterranean diet letting you live a long and healthy life, eh?
That’s it…torpor is too prevalent – maybe tomorrow I’ll have something useful and helpful to say. Right now, I’m going to take two ibuprofen and play my stupid app game of the moment on my Ipad. What else can I do?
