“Reality is one, though wise men speak of it variously.” From a Vedic hymn.
The illustration is of blind men attempting to identify an elephant by touch. What happens when they all feel something different? They assume others are lying, and end up in violence. It is the parable of today’s reality: not one but at least two. Contrary to the Vedic hymn.
But it’s binary: sooner or later, one side will win and the other will succumb. Right now the reality of the right is in control of virtually everything. If Trump says it, it must be true. If a high government official describes what you see as distinctly contrary to what you observe, then there must be something wrong with your own eyes. So what they say goes. Until you’ve simply observed sufficient data to say, “Hey, wait a minute. Something doesn’t look right.”
I call it waking up from a fever dream. At the moment, there are far more dreamers than awakened. The difficulty there? Entropy. While we are focusing on silliness – or believing what isn’t there is – entropy is breaking things apart. Where?
Health care. The dollar as reserve currency. The Thwaite glacier. ICE raids killing white women. Greenland as the next victim of a hyperactive military. And that was just this week.

The Augur’s Hearth is my equivalent of Delphi – the cave where the Oracles consulted with the Gods, then came out and answered important questions about the future. I’m the Augur; Ishmael helps collect the data from the cave. I am finished with writing and publishing new material on Amazon. Ishmael and I – collectively known as Sushi, the wary skate in the picture above – will just chronicle the crash. We autopsied it in our book ECG. I’ll turn this into a podcast, and post it on Apple’s outlet for such things.
This is where it starts. Question is: where will it end?
