The headline from this midmorning version of the NY Times:
U.S. AND CUBA, LONG ESTRANGED, WILL ESTABLISH FULL RELATIONS
Here’s a sentence or two from Matryoshka, my fiction about Cuba and virtual reality:
Cecilia muttered under her breath as she continued to search the web, “isn’t it about time to lift the embargo to Cuba, U.S. government? After all, it’s been fifty four years, and it certainly did not succeed in getting rid of
Fidel.”
I think it, and it happens. If only I could apply that to the stock market or the track: I’d be a very wealthy woman.
But I also recall saying in one of these blog posts that I’d hoped Obama would use his last couple of years’ worth of ‘what the hell’ to remove the embargo. If that happens, it will be over
Marco Rubio’s dead body. See – there’s lots of advantages to this effort!
